danny grew up around the eclectic beaches of southern california studying art and design. now living in portland, oregon, he utilizes a diverse background of techniques to create his art, including ebru. danny’s interest in sacred art coupled with an appreciation for color, pattern, and illusion lead him to discover the art of ebru. he studied ebru under master reza antoszewska, who taught him the traditional techniques of the turkish fine art. now knowing the dynamics of ebru, danny is able to capture highly detailed swarms of patterns and color that utilize the movement of the water to translate fluid motion into a single still image. danny embellishes his ebru prints with handmade intentional sacred symbols by using a combination of layering, masking, and screen printing. thanks to the mixing of the traditional ebru techniques with his unique screen printing process each symbol appears to emerge from the creative cosmos through a vibrant psychedelic rift echoing truth.
